This weekend we had our first courses of the year running at both our workshops @abneyparkn16 and @hackneycityfarm_official - it was cold but we soon warmed up carving spatulas from beautiful cherry wood. Our @dave_budd_handmade_tools drawknives made it an absolute pleasure.     2024 has been a busy productive and challenging ye 2024 has been a busy productive and challenging year. We have taught over 700 people and it has been great to see the positivity and creativity they brought. Our membership continues to grow, we now have 85 members of our green wood working community. Sadly this year brought the sudden death of one of our most stalwart members Nick Evans. Who was remembered by members at our AGM. We got the keys to our second workshop, which focused the energy of our cooperative on getting it up and running. It hasn’t been plain sailing but we hope that the Abney Park Cemetery site will thrive in ‘25. We had some wonderful guest tutors this year including @woodwoolwillow @soulwood_creations @carvingandturning @chelle.mateo @yoav.kafets We hope to develop this for next year as we gained so much knowledge from it as a community. We wish you all a happy and prosperous new year.
