Do you represent a Hackney or Tower Hamlets based community group and would you like to work with us? Occasionally we have grants to enable us to work with local groups for free, or we can jointly fundraise. Please contact us if you want to work together.
Oxford Brookes University
We hosted a group of architecture students from Oxford Brookes University for a two-day introduction to green wood working.
Hackney Ark
School holiday sessions for young people with disabilities and special educational needs. These sessions are funded by Rubio Monocoat.
Red Cross Asylum Seeker Support Group
Regular woodwork sessions with the Red Cross Men’s Support Group. This project is exclusively for Refugees and Asylum Seekers who are using British Red Cross services at Hackney Destitution Resource Centre.
Bloom Summer Series
We hosted a free spatula carving workshop for women and non-gender conforming people. Part of Cordwainers Grow Bloom Summer Series.
WAGs – Young women’s group
We runned a free bushcraft club for young people in partnership with local social enterprises Women After Greatness and Super Roots.
Harrow Arts Centre
In partnership with Learn Harrow we organised an afternoon spoon carving course at Harrow Arts Centre.
